Finding My Way – Learning to succeed on God’s terms

A phone call from a friend about a month ago brought me face to face with the reality that I had derailed from the plan God had for me this year.

“What happened to the book you spoke about earlier in the year? You have not said anything about it and this is August.” I felt bad. I felt even worse when  I opened the document where I had written all that God had said to me at the beginning of the year.

How did I get it wrong?

I was distracted by opportunities that looked golden.  They were good opportunities in all sense of the word.  Not only would my portfolio of clients expand significantly, my income was going to increase as well. So it looked good. A no brainer. But was that what God wanted for me?

We all have desires, plans and hopes. Those are legit. It’s great to be ambitious. It is wonderful to have a desire to succeed but it must be on God’s terms. Success outside of what God intends for you to do is meaningless. He created you and saw your future even while you were in the womb. If He says Path A is the way for you to go, you must trust Him and believe that He knows what He is doing.

In this episode of Finding My Way, I explored what success on God’s terms really means and I shared my thoughts on a beautiful scripture in the book of Jude that I came across while doing my Bible study.

Enjoy and do leave a comment 🙂

God bless you!
