Do you trust God to take care of you?

In a few hours, we’ll officially be in the sixth month of 2016 and in about four weeks, we’ll be going into the second half of the year. Hmm. How does that make you feel? Excited? Worried? Apprehensive or indifferent?

Do you want to know my answer? I’m expectant. I don’t feel overly excited but I’m definitely looking forward to it. Things have been falling into place for me as the months have gone by. I have stepped out into unknown waters and God has guided me and He is still guiding me. I have made mistakes but God’s mercy has covered me. I have had high points and low moments but the joy of the Lord has been my strength. There have been times of plenty and times where I had no idea where money was going to come from but God has remained my provider.

The long and short of it is that God has been taking care of me. There are successes I have achieved and I know it’s just God. I’m not better than you, my dear reader reading this post. I’m just a young lady who is totally dependent on God and enjoys His grace in abundance. I lean on Him for everything. I know that with Him I am secure. When things come to bring fear into my heart, I know that I’ll be fine because God is with me. That’s my secret 🙂

So how do you feel about approaching the second half of the year? Are you happy with your life right now? Do you trust God to take care of you? True joy and contentment in life comes from knowing God and having a deep relationship with Him. I can’t fully explain it but with God you just know that you’ll be fine; that your needs will be met and that you will end in victory. God makes life better, sweeter and more enjoyable.

In the midst of a storm , God will carry you through. When you have nothing, God will give you everything – much more than you can dream of or ask Him for. When you know that God is taking care of you, you will not be intimidated by anything. You won’t be afraid or worried. There are many things that can cause your heart to stop; the rising price of food stuff, the cost of fuel, downsizing by companies and so many other issues. You know what? Despite all of this God will take care of you if you can simply trust Him.

There’s thing song that I love. I can’t remember who sang it but the end of the song goes, “I enter a lifetime of ease, as I trust God to take care of me.” I sing this song when I remember God’s goodness. I sing it when I am confused. I sing it when I don’t know which way to go. The song is a prayer. It is a a declaration and it is an affirmation of faith.

Trust God to take care of you. Trust Him to meet every need. Big or small, He is capable. I can tell you that confidently. Even if it feels like the months that have passed have been horrible, trust God that the remaining months will be much better. Where it appears as if your life is at a standstill, trust God to move you to greater heights. Trust Him for everything. Lean on His everlasting arms. Pray to Him. Study His words. Let your confessions and declarations be positive.

And don’t forget the lyrics to this beautiful song, “I enter a lifetime of ease as I trust God to take care of me.”
