I stumbled on this quote while gathering content for The Sparkle Writer’s Hub blog and I just fell in love with it.
There are people out there who do not know exactly why they do what they do. I want to ask you a question; why are you in that line of business? Ok I have more than one question. Why did you take that job? Why are you in that particular position or organisation?
It’s important for us to ask ourselves these questions to ensure that we are in line with our purpose. If your reason for going into a particular business is money then you may not be pursuing your God-given purpose. When you find your life purpose, money becomes secondary. Making an impact becomes primary.
If you’re stuck in a job that you hate it’s probably time for you start thinking about changing your job. I know the money is great, I know you can afford the best things in life with your salary but don’t forget, money is not everything. Are you fulfilled? Do you feel you are adding value in that job or you are just wasting away? Are you growing mentally and spiritually?
Just as the quote above says, I write because I believe that God gave me a gift and a story to tell. I write because that’s how I express myself best. I write to share my experiences with others so that they can learn from it. I write to unburden my heart, to put words on paper that refuse to flow out of my mouth. Most importantly, I write so that I can be a blessing to the world.
What about you? Why do you do what you do?
