Hello people! I’m filled with so much joy today because I have exciting news to share. I have been talking about some projects I have been working and one of them is at the stage where it can be ‘officially’ unveiled.
Since last year, I’ve had several people come to ask me to give them tips on how to write. Some didn’t believe they could write while others wanted to know how to transform the thoughts in their heads to words on paper that people will be interested in. Initially, I decided to do a writing series on this blog but it wasn’t working primarily because this blog is simply meant to be a collection of my thoughts and musings.
So I stopped writing about how to write. But the questions kept coming and then God started showing me certain things but I was a bit sceptical because I did not have the necessary funds to start. So I procrastinated and procrastinated until I went for a women’s prayer meeting about four weeks ago and I knew in my heart it was time to just do it; whether I had all the resources or not.
That is how the journey to building The Sparkle Writer’s Hub began. I started to map out a plan and curate content for it so that when I officially announce it, you will find some useful resources there. The Sparkle Writers Hub is essentially for all those who love to write; writers, editors, bloggers, content managers and so on. By the grace of God, I function in each of those roles and I want to pass the things I have learnt to those who are starting this journey. When I decided to pursue my passion for writing in 2012, I did not have any guidance. I just went with the flow and by the grace of God, I haven’t done badly at all *Insert cool face smiley*
I would really love you to be a part of this project. My dream is for this hub to become a place where writers can get jobs and network with other writers as well. It’s still a work in progress but I’m moving towards the attainment of that vision.
It’s been four weeks since I have started and I have had 3 writing consultations with one of the people I counselled reviving her blog. Honestly, you have no idea how blessed I feel that God committed this project into my hands. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported me since I started. The last four weeks have been really stressful; sleeping at odd hours (it’s almost 3am as I write this post), having panic attacks, planning and strategizing. Thank you for helping me to believe that I can do it. Thank you for your words of encouragement.
