It’s been a while since I did a Thursday Inspiration post. Today’s song (at the end of the post) came to me a while ago as I was thinking about what it means to have ‘blind faith’ in God. You know that kind of faith that looks stupid to others. It’s the kind of faith that causes you to sing “My God is a good God” even when your things are being thrown out of the house because you couldn’t pay the rent. It’s the kind of faith that allows you to praise when you are going through fire and deep waters.
God’s ways are not our ways. Indeed, they are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. When you walk with God, trust me, a lot of things will not make sense. In church yesterday, the Pastor who preached said he had to ask someone this question one day when things were really tough; “What is God going to gain from seeing me pass through all this pain? What is it going to cost Him to just bless me now?” Honestly, me too I have asked myself those questions several times. Why couldn’t God provide money for me to get an apartment? Why can’t my dad get the breakthrough we all desire so much? I mean, it won’t cost God anything to do it. He just needs to speak a word.
If that is the way you are feeling right now, I want to tell you, “Just hold on”. God is doing something. There is a bigger picture. There is something glorious waiting for you. Can you picture it with your eyes of faith? It takes great faith to see sunny dry land in the midst of the storm but that sunny dry land is coming. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. It always comes. Soon, you’ll look back at this moment and laugh because God will make everything beautiful. And you know what? You will be able to use your story to encourage someone. Your story will become someone’s prophecy. It will strengthen their faith because they can be assured that if God can do it for you; He will do it for them.
So keep going. And keep praising too. God is greater than that situation. He specializes in doing great miracles. The knowledge of that fact alone should keep you going! I didn’t intend to write this amount of words but I think I have a ‘writing ministry’. When I start I just cannot stop. Ok I’m going to stop now. I pray that God will bring you to your expected end according to His plans for your life. That situation will not overwhelm you; it will only make you stronger. Your life will always be a living testimony of God’s goodness. I promise, this is the end!.
