#LoveWalk: Seeing yourself through God’s eyes

I don’t know why but I feel I still need to dwell on the subject of loving yourself. I guess it’s because if you get this wrong, then a lot of things will be distorted in your life. There are many ways we treat ourselves badly. Some people talk down to themselves while some others don’t think they would ever amount to anything good. That’s just sad because that is not how God sees you.

God’s sees you as a winner. You are precious in His sight. He wants you to succeed and He wants you to have the best in life. Where you see ugliness, God sees beauty. Where you see dirt, God sees radiant glory. Your thoughts and words need to start lining up with how God sees you which is the true picture of who you are.

To help you see yourself through God’s eyes, I have collated some Scriptures which show just how valuable you are to God and how much He loves you. Meditate on these Scriptures. Memorize them if you can. Declare them boldly every day if possible.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will…” Ephesians 1:3-5

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. ” Psalm 139:13-16

““Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these…” Matthew 6:25-34

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:4-7

“No in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14

NB – My church is having this program called Holy Ghost Meetings in Ibadan and I’m totally excited about it. I need a fresh filling of the power of the Holy Spirit. You can visit my Facebook page for more details about the program. I am not sure if I will have the time to put up posts on the blog while I’m in Ibadan. I’ll try but if I can’t here’s me apologising in advance 🙂 You can however be sure that I will be fully loaded after the program so you don’t want to miss next week’s posts. Loads of love!
