It’s the last day of the month!

I’m quite excited. In just a few hours, June will be over. Not only does it mark the end of the month, it also marks the end of the first half of the year. July will usher us into the second half of 2014.

For those of you who like to reflect (everyone should actually do this), this is a good time to do a review. Are you on track with the goals you set for the year? Notice I didn’t say resolutions. If you aren’t, can you figure out what the obstacle is? Was the first half tough? Now is a good time to seek God’s face for direction for the second half. If you need to rethink your strategy, now is also the best time to do it. It’s not too late to get yourself on track. And if you didn’t set any meaningful goal for 2014, please do so. You don’t want to get to the end of the year and find it difficult to say one thing that you achieved throughout the year. That’s not how to live life.

I wrote a piece on Y! Africa (yafri.ca/adedoyin-jaiyesimi-whats-this-culture-of-mediocrity/) today. It’s about the culture of mediocrity and how it affects us as individuals. Please read it *big smile*. I’m really passionate about people giving their best effort. We only get to live this life once.
